Glitne® Premium Frozen Loin of Halibut

The unique taste and structure of Snow White Halibut from Glitne® is formed by the deep, cold crystal-clear water of the Sognefjord. A fjord surrounded by high mountains and glaciers, with a long history of fisheries and rich mythology.

Our premium frozen loins are selected during the manual harvesting process, and efforts are made to ensure as little stress as possible for the fish. Manual handling means that the fish are transferred in a matter of seconds from a temperature of 8 degrees in the sea to iced water, where the cooling process starts. The fish are then filleted by hand before being further cooled and frozen. The fish are frozen while they are completely fresh, which means that the meat is white and firm. If the fish is defrosted slowly, the fillets are as good as fresh fish straight from deep waters. Glitne® premium frozen loins are suitable as sushi toppings, sashimi or as a special starter.
